I think a sounds recorder app is a very common thing that comes on
smartphones theses days but I have not seen anyone working on that. Did we
forget it as a core-app or was that intentional.

I agree with you on that, there needs to be a power menu of sometime but I
think its pretty clear that's not going to happen at this point of the
release cycle. Can you open a bug report for that and we'll add ubuntu-ux

able to find the app I want to run in the Dash, even though its clearly

If adb is not enabled you can go back to android from fastboot. First
download the factory images for your Nexus 7 from here
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/nakasi-kot49h-factory-5e9db5e1.tgz and
extract it. Make sure you are in Bootloader mode (fastboot) then just
exectute './flash-all

enabled it from the 'Developer mode' settings, the USB connection gets
re-initialized but 'adb devices' shows nothing, I also tried -proposed.
