No, all of the contacts on my phone were deleted because the (unrequested)
sync deleted all of them.

Hi guys,
Today we landed a new contact sync architecture based on Buteo (Image
143). But during the day we received reports that was causing contact
data lost in some specific situations.
Since today is code freeze, we will not have time to fix and fully
test it in time for OTA7, because of that
I just saw that after the update the contacts app magically got access to
all of my Google accounts. With that being one bug itself, I also think
that when adding contacts manually they shouldn't be overwritten the next
time the phone syncs with the Google servers.
