Hello everyone:
I'm try to porting latest ubuntu touch for my tf700 tablet, when I use
*source build/envsetup.sh*
to fetch the libhybris library, it encountered error:

Hi
what version of the ROM tree you have checked out? In the latest
phablet-saucy envsetup.sh no longer pulls hybris, as the latter has its own
git repo in ubuntu/hybris that is fetched by repo sync.
So try updating to the latest tree first and see if you encounter any
errors.

Dear Jani:
Thanks for your replay, I found the problem
after I use *phablet-dev-bootstrap* to fetch the source code
the manifests under .repo directory is checkout to *remotes/m/phablet-10.1*
I need to checkout to *origin/phablet-saucy* manually
Now source the envseup.sh without any error,

hey everyone,
Short one this time. We worked on the quality and ask all upstreams
(they should have been contacted) for crashers and AP tests failing.
Most of them are due to one big crash which is under tracking

Hi everyone,
I'm enjoying Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus4 so far, except for one detail.
I noticed that it is required to be connected to an Ubuntu-One account
in order to be able to install any app.
Is this a bug or a feature?
I understand that it could be needed to buy apps. But for the free ones

Hi,
Additionally, I'd like to be able to install click packages using the
file manager GUI. Just like apks in Android (if you enable that
feature, which is also a security risk if you don't know what you're
doing).
Last time I tried it didn't work, but it was a few weeks ago.
Cheers,
Florian

About the listed rationales:
1/ Reinstalling is already possible on the desktop (and opt-in)
2/ http://qa.debian.org/popcon
To sum up my understanding of this discussion (please correct me where
I'm wrong):
1. Everything inhereted by Debian will be installable without
registration/login, but only on a desktop.
2. Some additions (mainly drivers and Ubuntu specific services) by
Ubuntu/Canonical will also be installable

It is not, you need to do this yourself. Nothing tracks apps installed
through apt, the only thing being tracked today are apps installed via
the software center that had

the Ubuntu Touch platform? I would also like to integrate with the
desktop messaging menu services as well. I was not able to find this

Final if you get a new ubuntu phone it will hopefully be able to do
what google does with android and set you up with all the apps you
have purchased/installed.
AFAIK it is already possible on the desktop (the "Sync Between
Computers" menu item).
