Will the adb shell be fixed aswell to connect to phone over cable as
well do you think :(

Whatever has caused that bug, it will be fixed by a simple OTA to a good
build, when it exists :-)

If im not wrong i have also lost capability of adb over cable to phone
as well
i ve tested on two computers - still can access folders but access to
adb shell doesnt work
ive got developer mode enable and phone unlocked but get device not found
from two computers running ubuntu 14.04

Turning the device on, first shows the white bq splash, then turns
black, and then unity8 appears.

The boot logo is pretty simple, and pretty low level. I just double-checked
by doing the OTA from 209 to 210, and as you might expect, it worked for me
(I still have a logo).
Worryingly, that suggests that perhaps something is more subtly broken,
(maybe part of the flash file system?), and fixing
