Afaik, the basic implementation is there. However, it's not yet ready
to be merged into the images. A basic demo was done at MWC.

I don't know. I suspect not implemented. Probably a question for a Mir person.

I believe the Nexus 7 supports hdmi over the port, but the bq does
not. However neither will work right now as it's not enabled in
Ubuntu.

Why MyDP and not Slimport? Yes, Slimport is MyDP compatible so MyDP
adapters will probably work as well but I'd still rather get a "real"
Slimport adapter if it's for your Nexus 4 only as that's what it officially
supports.

Hello,
This landed on our devel branch but hasn't yet made it to a touch image.
Also requires a bit more work on other components like qtmir. This has been
demo'ed at the MWC. Stay tuned.

Hello Jim,
I thought external displays on Android were enabled with commits like:
https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mir-team/mir/development-branch/revision/2356
But I never actually tried.

External screens are not supported yet, unless this feature slipped in and
I didn't realize it. It is something that will come to Ubuntu Touch soon
enough though.

Before I go out and buy a MyDP→(HDMI|VGA) converter, does anyone know
what support is like in mako? I'd like to use this for displaying a
Touch interface on a bigger screen at our LoCo booth at some upcoming
events.
