No matter what I do, my phone never gets passed the HTC logo. I tried
flashing the zip then tried using fastboot to flash the images.
I tried using adb to see if the image is working:

When I comment out the parts you told me too. I still had the same error
but when I commented out
"frameworks/base/nfc-extras/com.android.nfc_extras.xml:system/etc/permissions/com.android.nfc_extras.xml
