Hello Daniel,
I have my BQ E4.5 r23 set to Spanish. Since the update of Dekko to

Specifically, we are having major grief with gstreamer. On a Nexus 4, we can
run two processes side by side that each use a single gstreamer pipeline (at
least most of the time). On a BQ, we can run o

Thanks Simon for the detailed info!
I guess waiting for an open baseband could take a very long time. As you
mention, confining the baseband might be the only valid option in the
mean time. I wonder what is Canonical's take on that and also on the
binary blobs.

Hi list!
Canonical has chosen to focus their marketing mostly on the commercial
side of things by showing usability and features of phones.
It is understandable, but I am more interested in the privacy and
security aspect, how much I can trust my Ubuntu phone. And there is not

You can find it in "System Settings -> about this phone -> developer mode".
Please check if that is enabled.

On ubuntuusers.de there was a tip posted [1] to add -sw to the Xmir commandline
to switch to software rendering in order to get around a segmentation fault in
Xmir. You might try that.
