Hi Zygmunt,
I'm observing similar oddities. Mostly the indicator icon keeps
showing the not connected wifi though, not even switching to the
mobile data ones for me. In any case, this currently seems to be
really flaky when first connecting to WiFi an

Please don't get me wrong here. I don't have any problem with Canonical
developing scopes exclusively for certain manufacturers. Instead, I believe
this is a good thing as it first of all generates income and secondly makes

However, I'd also be
I think that of phone manufacturers are paying Canonical for exclusive
scopes, the scopes should stay exclusive. The OS should be open source and
generally available, but there needs to be an incentive to phone
manufacturers to carry the OS on their phones, and custom-made extensions

Hello everyone,
Some of you might already know about it from other announcements: The
OTA-1 milestone we have planned for the end of this month (ww09-2015
[1]) will need to happen early due to client requests. How will this
change the standard situation?
We will essentially be still following our

I agree with Niklas to the point that I also believe that all scopes
developed by Canonical (to which I believe the today and nearby scope
count) should be released to every phone manufactorer and develpment-pho

Since you all have been so kind to reply to these issues should I
still bother filing the bugs? Just trying to be clear about the
preferred process.
Thanks!11

Hey
On Bq r17 rtm image network connectivity can fail in the following
scenario.
1 reboot the phone
2 connect to your local wifi
3 go outside (ha) out of range of wifi network
4 ensure that HSPA "H" indicator is present
5 open the browser and observe connections not working

Hi Pat,
Thank you very much for your valuable input. I apologize for not coming
back to you earlier, as I've been busy with my "offline life".
I would be very glad if the scopes get released for all phones in the
future, as what I really like about Ubuntu is its openness. However, I can

I wrote a blog post on how to speed up your development cycle if you
prefer to compile on the device and need to reflash often:
