So people...
Sorry i took too long to respond.
I did a fresh repo sync, and now use the breakfast to add my device.
Now i am doind a build with only this changes:

It seems that Ubuntu Touch isn't locked. It looks like certain screens just
don't support the other orientation. Running it on my Nexus 7 has
practically everything portrait-only, so I thought it was locked until I
tried the video player, which supports both orientations. That makes me
think you'll
It should be possible to use saltstack[1] for this scenario. I'm just
taking a look at it [2] and it looks good so far. Any help to dig deeper is
welcome!

That's exactly why there needs to be an option to lock rotation for an
e-reader.
My other question remains unanswered: does Ubuntu Touch support rotation
yet? I'd like to know because I'm maintaining the device-specific part for
the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, and right now it's hard-coded to be loc

A system integrated way of donation would be awesome. One of the main reasons I
don't donate often is because its never fast or simple. Usually requiring
Paypal logins.
I would prefer a system separate from Paypal (reasons related to the Wikileak
blackout). And integrated as something every de
Great, I look forward to viewing that discussion. Until then, I'll hold
off from working on the downloading side of my app. I hope to see some
interesting ideas come about.

Hi,
I was encouraged to copy my Qt 5.0.2 for Ubuntu 13.04 to qt5-proper PPA
after testing it, so this has been done now :) With the last addition of
a newer qtsensors build, I had success on my Nexus 4 with
apt-add-repository ppa:canonical-qt5-edgers/qt5-beta-proper ; apt-get
update ; apt-get dist
And here's the summary for this week.
The highlights:
- First run of Unity on top of MIR.
- Initial saucy builds on cdimage[1] still missing the zip container for
recovery deploys.
Interesting tidbits:
- New notify-osd port almost complete.
- mako kernel now pulled from saucy archives.
- Bug r
When you lie down it needs to be locked. And yeah, it should be an option
(that is simple to change, ie. on the toolbar)

Hi,
Of course, you can develop it as a standalone app. Better would be to have
some kind of deamon for that. But, in Qt you have QProcess with which you
can call any shell command (like wget).

Hi Dinko,
I wouldn't mind working on it and its certainly possible with DBus,
but I am wondering if such a functionality would be better suited as an
individual app or perhaps integrated deeper (Perhaps at the level of
Unity?).
I'll try to develop something that should fit my need and ho

There've been many discussions of late about the challenges of scaling
app installation to a very large number of apps, including making app
packages much easier to automatically audit and sandbox, and making them
safer and quicker to install without the possibility of system
