On page 28 of the manual (Precise) I read:
This left pane can be changed to display different features (such as
Information, Tree, History, etc.) by clicking the down arrow beside
``Places'' near the top.
In my version of Nautilus 3.4.2 I do not see a down arrow. But in the
menu View I can ch
I am currently making changes to The Ubuntu Desktop (from my notes). I
already mentioned issues like menubar, places etc. on this mailing list,
and I think now is the time to implement the changes, why wait for quantal?

I don't think our manual should change spelling conventions for the sake of
consistency. English is not a consistent language, generally, anyways.

This weekend I tried to compile a translated version of the manual. I
noticed that the names of all translators are automatically exported
from Launchpad to the *.po files. If you compile the manual with this
raw list, the you get a u

I may have missed this, but do we have an updated list of all of the
errors? And does it include the Advanced Topics not being a chapter
anymore?
I'll look at the list this week, to see what needs to be fixed on my
chapter (Advanced Topics) and get them fixed next weekend.
