You welcome. I know that there are some things that I'm missing, but there
are others that should be able to help you.

I think that a cloud based solution is a great idea. But for mobile users
this would a problem. One possible solution would be to include *all* of the
content that is available online in a repository that *gets updated when the
contents on the web changes*. Then is is not just static and can

I have a few questions about the releases of the Manual.
How many editions of each manual will be made?
If only two edition are created, will we replace the maverick branch with
the Lucid Edition 2 branch?
How many editions are we planning for Maverick?

Should we also file a bug report for each of these to keep help track of
what items have been fixed. A bug report has already been filed for the
Notification Area/Indicator Applet change.

I agree with both of you a meeting would be nice. I won't be available today
(It's Canada Day!) and I doubt that many people will be able too attend this
weekend (July 4th weekend). I think that the best time is on the weekend so
maybe the 10th would work.

Did anyone else receive this email and do you know why? This seems to have
absolutely nothing to do with the manual.

I have written an application that will automatically download the latest
build of the Ubuntu Manual from builds.ubuntu-manual.org. The script will be
run every time that the computer boots. It is released under the BSD
License and other developers are welcome. The code for this app is hosted on

I think that the IRC Council Meeting is at the same time in the same place
[see http://fridge.ubuntu.com/calendar]. Also you should probably add the
event to the meeting calendar as well [see

I created a script to automate this process. I recommend that this be
included in the branch as to make it easier and to prevent mistakes. Here is
the script:

After fixing some bugs how can I re-release the manual? I have a bunch of
bugs assigned to me that have a "committed" fix but can't make them as
released yet.

Thanks for this guide. I have just started fixing bugs today and I have a
few questions. Each time you change a bug do you need to "commit and push"
or can you change multiple bugs and then "commit and push".
The command to run are when you make a change are:
cd ~/Projects/ubuntu-manual
make clean;
