This worked for me:
cp the new screenshots to the proper directory
from that directory, do
bzr add "screenshot name".png
then do a regular bzr commit and push

Updated all screenshots in *Installation* chapter. Some of the new screen
shots have a different name (changes to installer UI) than was previoulsy
used.
How do I correctly add new screenshots (name of image changed) to the repo?

I notice that you did a merge that included ubuntu-desktop.tex earlier.
Can you checkout the file in the manual branch. There appears to be a couple
of paragraphs that bzr couldn't decide which was the correct version.
