I was bugged by having to run windows and java just for one app and also
exposing my online work to the horrors on unsecured windows. So explored
the option of installing oracle / sun java - . At the same time was not
interested in purging anything from my system.

Was curious if there were any working tools (or if any one was using such a
tool)
to send and receive bulk sms' (to/from a contact group) via Linux + a gsm
mobile device
Seems like gammu/ wammu supports a whole range including many of the

many linux version backhad this as well as the related
prepaid-manager-applet installed and they never worked
so am checking it out now
