Google for offline install and you should be ok. This is a general
method applicable to all install or update.

Would be able to share which dongle are you trying to use or are you
looking for general advice. Would advice you to buy after you make
sure it will work with your version of Ubuntu. I hear some of them
dont support linux or need work arounds.

Just as I suspected, even the Final version of Ubuntu 10.10 64bit gives
me the same Green dots when I run the CD, the video for which I've
shared in the past. None of the three options offered by Grub on the CD
work. Clicking on any of the 3 options given below just give me those
green dots af
When the GRUB/boot menu shows up and before booting, have you tried editing the
kernel boot options to remove the "quiet splash" portion (after
pressing F6 i think) ?

dongle. The school is working with Reliance and they actually had a
.deb installation file, but it broke during installation. The latest
was that I might have been trying the wrong hardware. So, that's
where it stands. I posted

I am planning to install Maverick in my laptop. But before that i wanna make
sure that my Reliance datacard works with it. I've read few tutorials but in
Maverick beta, I couldn't manage to make the datacard work. Can someone give
