Maybe an option to save the doc file as jpegs would be brilliant. We hope
someone comes up with that, if not available already.

Hi,
I think Prnt Scr and saving it as an image file is the only available
option. Definitely the easiest one.

Hi,
I develop Joomla websites on my Ubuntu Desktop system. The earlier link
helps you install Ubuntu Server edition, which is not exactly required if
you already have the latest Ubuntu Desktop edition. Follow the steps listed
out here:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Joomla
Though the guide is
Yup. Thats an easier way to do it. :)

I have not come across anything better than a combination of VLC Media
Player and a notepad or OpenOffice Writer for my transcribing needs.
VLC's spacebar pause is of immense help.

This could have prompted the blogs to suggest removal.
Or, maybe it is part of the 'conflict of interest' cited by Oracle
when they asked some developers who were working on both forks.
Kidding :)

I installed it yesterday and was stuck with the bad color scheme for a bit
till I realised that I need to install an additional package (gnome or kde)
for matching the theme. After that, its a breeze. No issues as of now.
Loads much quicker that Open Office definitely, and feels lighter than it.

Hi,
I went through the website and could not identify the articles that needs to
be edited or written. I agree that a wiki kind of setting would help us in
identifying subjects of choice, and allot it to themselves.

Hi,
If you give more details on the phone model, users will be able to help you
better.
For using bluetooth modem, would recommend you to install Blueman from
Ubuntu Software Center, and configuring the connections there. Its much
better than the bluetooth applet that comes installed by default.
Sure. But is there anything happening in Bombay?

There are docs available on the Ubuntu forums which has detailed
instructions on setting up your mobile phone and using it as an internet

FYI, Ubuntu is on 10.04. Good option is to upgrade since all issues are
fixed.
If you still want to continue on 9.04, fine. In case you are able to connect
to the wireless, then it might be a problem of the IP settings. Go to
Network Connections > Wireless. Select your connection and edit properti
