So far the bug is still in the UNCONFIRMED state.
If the bug needs to be fixed upstream could Canonical present its case in
the bugzilla environment for gtk?

We are close to a new Ubuntu version roll out.
There is a bug in Launchpad that IMHO affects millions of people and at the
same time enables a great impedance for Ubuntu to be embraced by
non-skilled users.

As an engineer I can definitelly say that saddens me to see such level of
argumentation towards a client/user.
It does not matter if the client\user knows the science behind the subject.
Imagine if I would have to explain to a business jet client that he would
have to wait 30 minutes to the aircraf
nobody would be interested in sponsoring that bug I think it is moot
to open the issue.
