I am running MATE 15.10 (x64). I had installed the Gentium font but not Gentium Basic. I installed frozen-bubble, which depends on libsdl-perl and fonts-sil-gentium-basic. It automatically changed my terminal and menu font. I don't see the menu option to change it back. All I wanted was to read the
