Hi everybody,
It has been noticed that the current BBC plugin is not translatable and
a patch has been sent on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/329573
The change add the list of categories to the translatable strings and I
would gather some opinion on whether people think that's a good idea or
not

Well, I personally also would like to see a more streamlined one tool,
one framework for syncing. And there are promising candidates, but so
far gnome-pilot have lot of functionality to offer comparing to
others.
Usually such discussions ends with nothing, but if you Mac care about

wow, assuming that "IM Statuse here" will likely also say "(Available)"
that acutally /triplicates/ (does such a word exist ? :) )
Personally I also strongly second to have icons in applet menu,
because yes, turning computer off, putting into sleep, etc. are motor
actions for body and eyes and it is very hard for me to stop every
time I open that menu and read actual labels - and I am geek who pays
attention to all little deta

That is a text field, so you can edit the text. I don't know what is
its feature, but maybe it is half done

A quick look at the code reveals that the menu items added to the
applet are of the type GtkImageMenuItem. The reason stock items are
not being used is probably because the labels in stock menu items do
not contain '...'.
It is quite possible that the icons were left out by mistake.
I think it is
No the icons were removed. Initially there were icons, but mark (or
someone else) decided to remove them

There are two bug reports for this:
1) For removing icons in Intrepid beta cycle
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fast-user-switch-applet/+bug/301309
2) For overal usability of FUSA in Jaunty

By the way, there is Mark's blog entry about this as reference on why

I'd think it's enough that the actual titles are in English.
Ohhh boy, third post in a row, should be in spammer blacklist soon... :)
Anyway, I found exact argument Mark made about removal of icons:
"We decided not to put icons into the menu for each of the different
statuses. Our design ethic is to aim for cleaner, less cluttered
layouts with fewer icons a

Thanks for your answer Mat.
Well, maybe if every menu item in the applet has an icon, it could
really look cluttered...
Maybe it would look better (and less cluttered) to not list all the
quit options there, but just display the classical 2 options (Quit and
Log Out) and then present the 2 beautif

Hi,
I am trying to get touchscreen working for an embedded device on

is there a reason DHT functionality is disabled by default in Ktorrent? I have
searched the Internet and didn't find any exploits or vulnerabilities for this
feature.
DHT speeds up torrent transfers when connection with the tracker is iffy. It is
also important because it allows bittorret
Hi. Hopefully a really simple thing here.
Just out of curiosity, why is the new message notifier a distinct
panel applet and not just a daemon that presents itself in the
notification area when appropriate? Is there a specific reason for
this design, or should I start loudly promoting the idea tha
