Feisty Live CD doesn't boot on Asus P5B (kernel SATA problems?)

More info on the topic. I succesfully booted up with the live cd in an USB CD-ROM drive. However, then kernel (2.6.20-8-generic) doesn't seem to recognize my hard disk (SATA). Pretty difficult to install... Is anyone working on this problem? Best regards, Teemu Teemu Rinta-aho wrote: >

ess tty; job control turned off ... ... ... USB driver messages after a while ... then nothing === Maybe it's the old bug with the ISA CD-ROM driver? On 6.10 the CD-ROM works, but after a while it slows down 99%. Should I go get a USB CD-ROM or what? Best regards, Teemu Rinta-aho -- Ubu
