Till now Ubuntu has not been able to properly support the ambient light
sensor for Sony Vaio laptops to dim the screen and turn on backlight
keyboard when necessary. The following patches have now been rendered
useless by recent updates.

Realize that you're talking about a BETA, this comes with the territory of
trying new things. Beta's are for people to contribute useful information
not complain. If you want some nearly bug free then please revert back to a
stable version
