All my tun interfaces stopped working. ICMP works but IP(TCP/UDP) does not.
Machine started to hang.
for example - OpenVPN - hang up my machine.
looking for my problem
i just remove buggy "Network Manager" at all
and configure it manual ( /etc/networks/interfaces ) ..
all work fine! ;))

add AUTO eth0, save, edit, change to manual, save - solve, but i dunno what
happen after reboot ;)

qip (IM Client) have same problem ... looks like this is not pidgin
problem - AOL Servers was change protocol or smth and all not
authorized clients can't connect ..

but description for this bug - wrong
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (Ubuntu) - contain 2 kernel modules :
nvidia.ko and nvidia_new.ko
when you install nvidia-glx-new, nvidia_new.ko will be loaded..
kernel module successfully loaded when system is loading, but when X
trying to
change description of this bug .. linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 is not
affected.

i have same problem ... i have 2 nic eth0 eth1 configured staticaly .. and
network manager does not detect it ;( and do not try connect... ;(

work around for me : set up eth1 at dhcp
yep. allmost anyone in russia who install Ubuntu can't turn on internet.
funny situation:
you can't be online be cause you don't have network-manager-pptp
if you want install network-manager-pptp - you must be online.
