Exact same issue on Skylake-desktop PCs. Tested on 12 PCs in our pc lab.
Getting the trace in boot log on every single one. It appears short
after boot, by the time lightdm shows up. All machines run with two

core2duo, first i-series to third generation i-series. We have the exact
problem described here but only with the first generation i5-CPUs.
Others work fine.
I have tested 4.4.0-36.55 (afaik proposed right now), the 4.4.9 mainline

multi monitors
Please reopen this issue. I can reproduce this on several sligthly different
boxes which are installed from scratch. I didn't find a good way to reproduce
this reliably. It does however happen regulary on reboot/shutdown. My guess is
about every 5th time.

Everything seems to be fine when i'm in Ubuntu. Using the firefox browswer
there aren't any problems at all from what i can see.
When i go into the file system of Ubuntu, also here all is well. But as soon as
