I just loaded my notebook from Ubuntu 9.10 beta live CD and checked all
FN keys, everything works out of the box, but there is one problem with
"mute" FN key, it is doublepressed and sound remains unmuted, but if I
press this button very quickly, then it pressed 1 time, so it is

It's no matters when will you install the driver. Recent updates breaks
somethings and my laptop freezes right after the boot. And i can't switch to
any terminal because OS not respond. I haven't event a chance to read logs.
I investigated the problem and found that the problem somewhere in Xserv

HP 15 (ac-101ur model, just in case) laptop owner here. Booted Ubuntu
Groovy thumb drive using Legacy method, *no* UEFI whatsoever.
When I first tried to install Ubuntu, replacing Windows (as I now own a
new laptop), Ubiquity yelled "No UEFI partition found" - this bug didn't
occur in earlier vers
Update on the above message: Thanks ~kaiserclaudius for the workaround.
It worked :)
In case you are wondering, laptop *does* indeed support UEFI, but I
rather prefer using Legacy boot because can go wrong at any moment.
