same happened to me, some days ago, maybe near to the ubuntu (hardy)
upgrade to 2.6.24-18. since then, the trackpad does strange things. but
when i start with an older (-16) kernel with which i didn't have the
problem, it's still the same. so maybe another package ...

touchpad fuziness on iBoo
i am using an ibook g3. backing out the change above didn't help; the
source code ended compiling with an error. but downgrading to 0.3.9 did.
i hope a fixed package will be released soon. thank you very much!
