I have this issue on a current Hardy machine (32bit, supported upgrades
only). But not in such a drastic manner. I think because i'm using only
1 panel. I flagged this bug as "Confirmed", therefore. I don't know how
to get a valgrind log, though, because when i kill gnome-panel it
immediately gets
No background image, just a plain panel with clock, tasklist and
systray. Sits on top edge, stretched and 25 pixels high. no auto-hide,
no hide buttons. No background (system's theme).

It's fixed in linux-image-2.6.20-16.28 :-) Metapackage linux-image-
generic depended on older linux-image-2.6.20-15 (with which it didn't

notification should be changed to use this lib instead of openssl.

Ubiquity then hung while trying to copy installation logs. I couldn't
recover from that hang and had to kill ubiquity, thus wasn't able to do
a complete install to HD.
