Public bug reported:
I have KDE installed on top of Ubuntu. I swapped back to Ubuntu and laid out
four desktops. When swapping from the original to one of the others, all menus
disappear and I am LOST...
I had to press the "Swedish button" (on/off button) to reboot my computer.

Jérôme, thank you for your e-mail!
I used desktop effects the first time, and not the second time. Mind you
now I have the effects off, and everything is OK.
All menus disappeared, both on top and bottom. I had no means to
maneuver or quit...
