This may be completely unrelated, but I unplugged my Hauppauge WinTV PVR
USB2, and when I rebooted, jockey not only did not crash, but it
actually detected some drivers for the first time. And most definately
unrelated, this same thing allowed me to add new printers again, and

I can confirm that this bug is absolutely genuine and reproducible.
This is purely speculation but could this be a synchronisation problem
between nautilus and gvfs? Selecting a link in the "Computer" menu
should result in the volume first being mounted and then being opened in
a nautilus window.

update, and the kernel will no longer recognize my SATA hard drives'
partitions. I know this is NOT a kernel issue because none of my kernels

synaptic does not use the gnome proxy settings.
In general proxy configuration has improved in Hardy but synaptic (and

I have a similar problem, any manipulation of images causes a crash and
cutting and pasting any image into writer causes it to crash. I am
using Edgy and it only seems to happen with pictures.

I have the identical problem with two computers running edgy and one
with dapper. I have noticed a few other comments on the forums
regarding the same issue. I have no idea about debugging so I hope you
can resolve this issue.

the system tools contained a modification of the way in which they use
gksu to access system files. I didn't take enough notice of the
