Well I just tried it and it didn't work. There is a theatre company that
is going to be really mad at me for losing track of rehearsal and
filming schedule, among other things. Are the files still hiding
somewhere I can chase down?

Hi,
Since you say the status is 'fix released,' I re-installed, but I still can't
see my stuff. What can I do to get my life back?

Two bugs, this one and Update Manager. Had trouble deciding which server
to go for, because antarctic.ca (whatever it is) is messed up. Took
forever to pick sources, after burning another coaster and failing to
update from it.
I'm still pre-restart, so I hope I can get it fixed before I restart

Binary package hint: update-manager
I think this is actually a pile of bugs with the update-manager/synaptic
dynamic duo. I'm not a coder, but I have been testing music and graphics
packages, and it is possible that the frequent exchange of libraries has messed
things up.

Superstition: can some of these problems be the result of attacks on
update/upgrade systems? Just a thought.

I have worked around this bug although I do not believe the update-
manager has upgraded. I believe this bug to be a match with bug 222055.
My "get me through the day" solution was found in the thread for bug
276503.

Hi,
i'm sorry I'm acting like an asshole. I'm working for free just like
everyone else here, I think. I REALLY don't know what I'm doing, aside
from clicking on things that look promising, and doing what looks best.

Hi,
Okay, my stuff just reappeared. Now I see it, now I don't, now I do
again. Why do I bother with theater?

Hi,
I honestly don't know how this is happening. A friend I am no longer
talking to has had the same problem simultaneously, on a vanilla ubuntu
7.10 installation. I won't go to the newer version because the Audio
applications in UbuntuStudio are dodgy in 8.04.
I'm not hip enough to be able to d
