I tried to install the Kubuntu 20.04 (dev branch) in VirtualBox on Windows 10.
When choose the language (German) and proceed then the installer crashes.
When I start again the crash happens again and again. So the problem can be
reproduced.

After further investigations I see that the problem only exists when I
use the taksbar of type "icons with running programms". When I use the
taskbar type "only icons" then Discover starts properly.

command. Then I put the line:
"auth sufficient pam_fprintd.so" in the /etc/pam.d/polkit-1" file to

I tested again today when switching users from time to time I loose the
desktop and get only the console. I tried to upload "ubuntu-bug
.crash" files, but this command crashes either ("internal Ubuntu
error") so I cannot send them via this process. I attach the crash files

One remark more: I have 2 users: "user 1" and "user 2". Sometimes I log
off the session of "user 1" and then get then the login screen of "user

The user icon of user 2 is in /home/pictures/ folder of user 1.
The icon is shown for user 2 when she is logged in or logged out. So it has
access to the picture, but on the main login dialog with all users the icon of
user 2 is not changed.

However, Kubuntu does not offer FP login even with the above settings. It works
in Ubuntu.

I'm on 16.04 and I tried installing shorewall-init and configuring
/etc/default/shorewall-init per http://shorewall.net/Shorewall-init.html
as well as setting safestop=1 in /etc/default/shorewall but was still
able to ping my firewall's external IP for a couple seconds upon every
reboot.

This is all strange: in the whoopsie ID is a "0" missing, becauese if I
go to the ubuntu error reporting tool and jump from there to whoopsie
URL there are many reports from my machine, but the URL has additional
"0" at the end. Anyway I will look there for something fiiting the
problem.

Okay, I've had this exact same problem sprout up seemingly randomly.
Pulseaudio was working fine for everything, even able to divert streams
to a bluetooth headset until suddenly everything was just this static
like, crackly sound. Even the system sounds at startup.
