Ok, the problem is that when the report is made, it first checks if the
parent node (Computer) is selected and, as that's not the case for your
example the report ends being empty.
As a temporary workaorund, select the parent category (Computer) too.

Install the vesa driver seems to solve that hangs, but you still get the
plymouth warning. Anyway, I understand that the vesa driver should be in
the system for video fallback, but somehow, was removed by some X
upgrade...

I have to say that solved the hangs by installing the vesa driver (that
somehow got removed in a previous upgrade?). Anyway the plymouth message
is still there.

In my case, I was able to "boot" by reinstalling the X vesa driver that
apparently, was I had lost in some X upgrade in the lucid cycle. It
could be a workaround for your problem also.

@charles: I have tested your theory in bug 500011 and seems to be
correct. If I change the download location, it always gets the last
subfolder removed. If this is a transmission or gtk+ problem, I don't
know...
