Since changing from Kubuntu Hardy 32bit to 64bit on my Medion MD96420
laptop, I've found my suspend and hibernate functions don't work. The
system seems to get to the suspend/hibernate point, but then immediately
resumes. Changing to uswsusp to control these functions had the

This seems to affect me as well, running an strace seems to suggest VYM
is trying to find a network printer that normally exists on my network
and is installed in CUPS but is currently unavailable. The program takes

As the original reporter of this problem, I'd like to say that after a
fresh install of Jaunty this card seems to work 100% out of the box, at

I managed to get the drivers from

report they have updated the drivers to work with the current kernel. Is

The RaLink RT2790 card doesn't work. The rt2x00 serialmonkey drivers
don't cover this card. There are (apparently) drivers for Linux on
RaLink's website that cover this card, but they don't compile on the

OSS gives me sound, but I don't know how to make it work with KDE. Also,
the sound server doesn't start at startup, I need to start it in Sound
Settings for it to work (but I get the test sound then). KMix crashes

Glipper makes copy/pasting of images in OpenOf
This bug is still in version 1.3.3.12 in Jaunty. I seriously doubt
they're still working on it upstream, since the last post made to that
bug report was back in 2006. In three years they still haven't bothered
to use a standard clipboard like most of the rest of the Linux world.
Disappointing.

I'm on a Intel 82945G/GZ as well with Karmic beta and have the same
problem.

I think I have the same issue. I have two random key encrypted drives,
/tmp and swap, but the problem (so far) only seems to happen with /tmp.
The problem seems to be intermittent, but still happens on maybe 50% or
more of boots. I can't get a boot log because upstart doesn't appear to
use them. I'
OK, turns out the additions I made to the GDM init script still don't
fix the gconf-sanity-check-2 error. It still happens, but it appears to
be random. In fact, everything about these problems appears to be
random. The synchronous nature of Upstart seems to make the boot process
unpredictable, and

I had to discard ubuntu for my wife's new acer and revert back to the
default Win XP because of this bug. Very disappointed. None of the many

After upgrading to kernel 3.0.0.16 I am able to connect my laptop at
150Mbps using iwlagn and my desktop at 300Mbps using rt2800pci. Both
speeds were not possible before kernel update.
The problem now is that my laptop connects in g speed (54Mbps) after

Had this same problem upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 , while wubi was
installed in D partition and Windows 7 on C.
Symptoms:
Not being to able to boot Ubuntu , while being to boot Windows7 successfully.
Solution:
Copying wubildr, wubildr.cfg, wubildr.mbr from C to D solved the problem
smoothly.
