Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 7.10 the screen goes blank even having configured in the power
manager that never should go to blank.
I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 with compiz fusion in a ACER travelmate 4000 with
an ATI Mobile 9700. The dirver is the restricted one.

It goes blank if the computer is inactive around 10 or 15 minutes. It always
happens in that situation.

Public bug reported:
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 in an ACER travelmate 4000. I have configured
the power manager to hibernate when the battery is low charge but this
never happens. The computer exhausts the battery and don't hibernate.
The same happens with suspend and shut down...

The screen saver is not active. The exact configuration is set
computer inactive after 2 hours and I haven't tick the activate screen
saver when the computer is inactive button.
