I too can confirm this. All that happens when you click an apt url is
that it opens up a dialog box asking which application to use to open
it. This is with the released version of ubuntu.

I am installing Ubuntu on an old Aspire 1400XV. The splash screen worked on the
live cd but now all I get is a black screen by default. The machine does boot

This affects me. It seems what is happening is that this change isn't
getting propagated up to the Google Reader account. This means that when
the source is updates it pulls the list from the Google Reader account
which doesn't include the updated feeds and deletes the new feeds. I
