since I upgraded to ubuntu 8.10, whenever I open evolution mail a window pops
up asking for a password to
open the default keyring. I tried my login password which doesn't work. when
i click on deny , evolution opens
normally. How can I fix

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 20.10 without realizing this problem with the
nvidia-340.108 . The upgrade failed to install this driver with the 5.8
kernel that comes with the upgrade. Fortunately, I still have the 5.4
kernel that is compatible. I have a Dell Inspiron 1400 with legacy GPU
GeForce 840
I followed your steps but just encountered the same errors I previously had. I
have both the kernel 5.4 and 5.8 installed, but nvidia-340 can't be installed
with the 5.8, and I am unable to login with the 5.8. I read elsewhere that
nvidia is no longer providing support for its legacy
drivers.
Thank you Butterfly. I was able to install your driver with linux 5.8
without issues.

easiest puzzle is extremely laborious without the
grid. why you did this is beyond my understanding.

Since the installation of Ubuntu 24.04 the onboard keyboard on the login screen
crashes when I click on it.
Some keys on my Dell keyboard do not function so without the onboard keyboard I
need to plug in an external
keyboard to type my password which is very inconvenient.
It is still working for me.

1.) Move your .emacs file to .orig.emacs
2.) Reinstall the slime package.
3.) Open up Emacs and run slime.
Slime will respond with an error message indicating that a lisp program

It would help if each game in Spider had an assigned number, then at
least I could re-start the game I was playing before it crashed - I like
to play the same game over and over to improve my score (sad I know but
