F-spot doesn't start. When run in the terminal it gives the attached
output.
Further information: Using ubuntu 8.04 and f-spot 0.4.2-1ubuntu3
I've tried to purge f-spot and installed it again to no avail. Also
restarted computer. When I used

I don't experience any performance issues (8.04 with fglrx) but manually

Thanks for reporting this wilcoxjay, I also have the same problem on my
acer aspire one. Which confims that this is indeed a bug. Hopefully it
will grab some more attention now that I marked it as confirmed.

Reading the bug report on OpenSuSE the patch comes from ubuntu? They must've
used an file from the older versions of ubuntu if so.

I can confirm the same behaviour running a live usb instance of ubuntu
11.04 amd64. Ubuntu boots flawlessly, but running any process (firefox,
libreoffice, apt-get) causes an "Out of memory: Kill process" error to
occur and eventually the machine locks up. Unfortunately as my machine
freezes and no
