I have the offline default problem using FF3.0 beta 5 and Kppp in Hardy so
installed FF2.
FF2 works fine but get this... if I close FF2 after using it online and then
open FF3/5 it connects as it should and does not default to offline. If I then
close it and reopen it it defaults to offline.

When I start new applications their icon appears below the floppy and disk
icons.
Anything locked to the launcher there will be lost at logout or reboot.
However, if I lock to launcher and then drag the icon up above the
workspace-switcher it will remain persistant.
