manually out of auto and then changing current desktop environment to

I'm running 10.04 LTS i386 still on my laptop, but has been repeated on
11.10 unity
If one goes into a folder in nautilus: say home/user/Documents/aaa/bbb
then clicks on aaa you still see the history of nautilus showing bbb on
the top. Which is to be expected.

brand new BETA (not-live ver) 10.11 installed on entire disk from

At boot, with whole drive encryption, the passphrase box shown by
usplash only shows about 20 characters. As I use a passphrase longer
much longer than this, it would be nice if this box was extended to show
more characters.

Thanks for your reply. A power spike during a thunder storm resulted in
the boot sequence of Ubuntu becoming corrupted. I had to reinstall from
CD. After that, the emblems were OK. Since then, I have never tried to
synchronize any folders outside the Ubuntu One folder and all emblems
display OK

In Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 OpenOffice 3.2 x86_64 the workaround did indeed
solve my problem and the panels disappeared.
