After updating the BIOS, the backlight control works once more. In fact,
I can now also turn off the backlight completely with the same controls,
which was not possible before. Furthermore, the backlight control is
more fine-grained than before.

avoid this problem in unity, and because performance of unity on my
computer was a bit sluggish. I therefore have not had opportunity to see
if the problem still occurs. However, if Márton still sees it, chances
are I would too.

2 out of 3 times GRUB wont boot Ubuntu with the message "load kernel
first", Windows 10 never works with the error message: "cannot load

"cannot load image".
Even worse: With secure boot enabled GRUB starts in 640x480 mode and
