(and the other packages) with one of the Ubuntu-X-Swat PPA
The System is still freezing.

For testing I installed Intrepid Ibex Ubuntu parallel to Ubuntu Jaunty,
this installation is running fine, NO freez
It's still a issue in jaunty.

I'm also facing the same issue since I have upgraded to Jaunty
Jackalope. Even if I select the old NVidia Driver (version 96) the VNC
client screen doesn't update eigther. VNC only works propperly after

Since I got kde 4.3 final on Jaunty i can't use the passivepopup option in
kdialog.
It's the option used by PasmaNotify plugins in firefox so it's very annoying.
Instead i get a GTK notification in the middle of the screen.

Same here. Before tribe 5 I had that really low volume problem (can't
find the bug #) and it was solved after that update, but now, after the
last big upgrade my HDA-NVIDIA ( = HDA-Intel) is not even detected. I'm

Yes vesa works.
Before I start my system. I attach an external Monitor to the vga
output, the monitor turn on and X start normaly on the external Monitor.
Now I can swich the Output with "FN+F4" back to the notebook screen
(LVDS).

Have the same problem with flashing screen since gutsy.
The workaround from "philipp beitz" solved the problem.

I have a xps m1530 with hardy and i have the same problem, no sound over
HDMI.

Bug solved with hplip 1.7.3, it should be integrated to final release or
just post a fix for 1.7.2, but please don't let this but in final
release.
