characters sometimes appear completely corrupted ("blown up"). Reloading
the page, marking and unmarking the respective characters, scrolling

The device in question is an AVM Fritz! WLAN USB stick. It works fine,
but after suspending and resuming, Network Manager shows "device is not
ready" for the wireless connection; this persists until either the
device is unplugged or the ndiswrapper module is reinserted.

Actually, the backlight was just off by default. There's also a bit of
lag when changing brightness in Ubuntu that wasn't there before the
firmware upgrade, and the EFI menu is garbled when booting a live image,
but the system works fine besides that. Will get back to some tests.

click on it, it isn't automatically opened in LibreOffice. Instead, a

Happens with Compiz+Unity, but not with GNOME Shell. I haven't tested
any non-Unity desktop enviroment that uses Compiz.
1. Start any VirtualBox VM and put it into full-screen mode (Host+F or menus).
2. Move the mouse to the bottom center of the screen so the VM menu bar show
VirtualBox 4.2.10, Unity 6.12.0. Regular desktop is restored after
refocusing on anything.

Nothing - as far as I could tell, the module build just wasn't run. I don't
know what else could be the problem if the build succeeds after just
reinstalling the associated package.
I'll pay more attention to the next kernel upgrade(s) and mention it if I see
this issue again.
