For some reason, the latest update tries to break my system. It tries to
remove my desktop and Nautilus. Image attached explains better.
All other updates have been fine up to this point.
Has anyone else found this to be an issue?

I was doing a system update.
What I did to fix:
1. I removed all i386 packages
2. And run update again, now it updated ok.

Suspend/Resume hangs and fails - Ubuntu 12.04LTS

I was using Nvidia graphics card and the Nouveau display driver, this seemed to
cause the problem.
I moved to a proprietary Nvidia driver, rebooted and suspend now works
fine.
So I would suggest checking what driver you are using and changing to
the proprietary driver available for your system.
Same issue here but with 13.10 64bit, however the problem for me was the
Nouveau display driver.

I find that the issue is definitely intermittent, and what is strange
logging out and back in brings the extensions back.
Perhaps it has something to do with timings, or a loading sequence?
Additional:
Try disabling all of your extensions and booting up with one enabled at
a time. I found that an Extension called TASKBAR, which was set to
create a second bar at the bottom of the screen caused all extensions to
intermittently not start on boot up.

I have been trying to sync my documents folder of 1.4GB, it still hasn't
worked and it has been syncing for a month. The top level folders and
files sync, however files and folders in sub-folders just hang.
I have tried using the backup facility in 11.10, to backup to Ubuntu
onnect for about 5-10 mins. Once connected, it
then works fine.

On resume from suspend my touchpad never froze. Will continue testing.

hi, i installed the Kernel and I was no longer able to boot into the
display manager, only into terminal. I had to uninstall and update the
grub to be able to boot into my display manager.
i did try when in terminal to see if the storage card could be seen but
didn't seem to see it..
