tried to configure sane to detect my USB scanner under Kubuntu 7.10 "Gutsy
Gibbon" - Alpha i386 (20070606.1)
but it failed.
Under root scanner is detected OK
After some further experiments i figured out that Sane needs 0666 permissions
for usb device that scanner is attache

i was able to run ntopng from commandine with following syntax (worked fine)
sudo ntopng -i eth0 -e
ntopng was running ok for several days so it seems only deamon startup scripts
are deffect somehow

after instaling using apt and configuring in /etc/pam.d when i try to login i
get error in /var/log/auth.log:
PAM unable to dlopen(pam_geoip.so): /lib/security/pam_geoip.so: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or director
After symlinking to /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/s

As stated in summary xhci driver fails to load as a result no devices connected
to USB 3.0 ports get recognized (they are powered up normally)
I think this is a relevant part of the dmesg (successfull USB 2.0 start
followed by USB 3.0 xhci load failure

Have done one more test (booted from live USB in BIOS mode - no uefi
support) and USB 3.0 ports are working (havent tested tem but now
devices connected to those ports are recognised)
Later on will try to test Live USB in UEFI mode and post the resutls

For the live USB in uefi mode
USB 3.0 does not work
Bot possible only from One USB 2.0 port for the rest of usb 2.0 ports i get a
message Unable to locate livesystem
It fails to recognize USB 2.0 from which the live started booting

I'v tested Ubuntu and mainline kernels.
In UEFI mode there is a problem loading xHCI module thus no USB 3.0 support.
In bios compatibility mode (no UEFI) ports work ok.
