If I set anything else than Totem Player, the setting does not stick.
I.e. if I assign it to VLC, VLC launches on the first DVD video insertion, but
from thereafter its back to Totem Video Playe
I don't know the package. System Settings is involved. Hopefully you can
derive the package from that.

Setting for hander for removable m
Haven't used my Toshiba laptop for a while.
Before I tried using your patch, I tried to reproduce the bug, but failed to do
so (luckily!).
Neither on kernel 2.6.35-28 (for which I originally submitted my bug report )
nor on 2.6.35-30 did the bug happen.
Btw, 2.6.35-30 is the default boot choice
