I've already upgraded to 8.04 and have the same problem.
cfdisk interface is still incorrect.

I seem to be facing the same issue. I Installed intrepid yesterday. I
have installed all the updates so should be having the latest packages.
Was using hardy till the day before and had no such problems with it.

wheh I run cfdisk or dselect, Russia interface doesn't display correctly. Some
of Russia letters have substituted for "?" letters.
In example when I run cfdisk, it displays:

There is no "cfdisk-utf8" package in Ubuntu 6.06 LST.
"/sbin/cfdisk" is in "util-linux" package.
P.S. Sorry, I didn't point that I use Ubuntu 6.06 LST

1:5.3.2~rc2-0ubuntu1~trusty1 via Synaptic Package Manager.
Please try, no system changes required.(except install of "synaptic"-package)
