I created two folders in my home: folder1 and folder2. I added a new folder to
folder sync group in conduit and selected "two way sync" and "always up to

I have the same problem with impress on kubuntu feisty on two different laptops.
Both of them have an ATI graphics card. One with the default (open source)
driver on the other with the binary one.

I did post the issue to the mailing list but did not receive any answer
for the past 14 days. I know that other users are affected too, for

the shell itself is still usable in my scenario. You can open the
calendar, options menu on the top right and even new windows from the
panel. But the windows itself and desktop (including right click menu)
are frozen.

edid tells me that there is no EDID information provided. As the monitor
is working properly in Windows I think that Windows is just doing a

The drm-tip kernel didn't help the case. Did I understand this correctly
that you have identified the driver to be the problem? If so I have to
delegate this two 3 different drivers with which I have this problem:
the already linked amd driver, but also the proprietary and open source
nvidia driver
