Binary package hint: cron
Don't know cause but cron appears not able to upgrade while an existing
version is running. I never use cron so it must have been set up at
installation to do something. I think my version is 8.4 but this has
been the case since 7.10
Rui got it right. The problem is that we need to fix the dependencies
as he describes. You can install moodle without php5-mysql installed,
so you get a blank screen when you go to moodle. A Normal Person (our
audience) has no idea what the problem is. I went to install phpmyadmin

And it somehow uses ALL of the lower-case words rather than just the
first letter. I"m not a regexp genious, but I couldn't find a solution
other than listing all prepositions and conjunctions

When I set control as an additional capslock it works, but it stops
working after a reboot or a resume. It's still checked when I go into
the applet to see it. If I change it back to default and then back to
the way I want it, it works again for that session.
Also, the caps-lock light on my lapt
It is confusing. I've tried it at least twice, once in front of a class
of about 15 teacher educators and no one could figure out what size the
Edubuntu partition would be. On the laptop that I'm using now Ubuntu
7.04beta is on a 13 MB partition while the yet-to-be-booted XP partition
has >60MB.
This same bug affects pulseaudio and cron. I replaced multiuser with
defaults in their postinst files and made similar errors go away.

The problem is that the postinst script contains "multiuser," which is
deprecated. It's not fixed as of the current version on 2009.12.09, but
editing /var/lib/dpkg/info/pulseaudio.postinst and replacing
"multiuser" with "defaults" fixes the problem.

Since 10.04 came out it's been working for me. I'm totally psyched as
I thought it would be impossible due to crap Apple had done to make it
so. Nice work!

Hooray! The
GTK_IM_MODULE='' synapse
worked for me too. Now if I can just figure out how to get that set
before synapse cranks itself up at login.
Thanks.

Thanks, Jim. It'd be good to get this fixed.
Yes, Timo, juicer seems to be the best ripper. There doesn't seem to be
a way to get Banshee to rip anything but oggs. Normally I rip to FLAC,
except now that I live in a van and like MP3 so that my car stereo can
play them.

Oh. Great. I misread that you fixed this bug somewhere else.
I'm surprised that more people don't use focus-follows-mouse. I suppose

ALT-TAB is broken if you use focus follows mouse. This is a bug.
Focus follows mouse is a much more powerful way to manage and use
windows. The fact that the default is click-to-focus so that most people

I think it's fixed in Lucid, at least in teh graphical install. I
think that language in the text-only installer may be less confusing
now.
