[Bug 154100] gutsy hanged

Public bug reported: I am not sure this the right place for submitting this bug. And also I don't know this is a bug or something else. But its very annoying. I have just installed fresh Ubuntu 7.10. Its running very smoothly but after few minutes its just hanged except mouse and none of the mouse

For some useful information: I am using NIS services for sharing account information. When postinstallation script of postgresql-common is running the following command "if ! getent passwd postgres > /dev/null" its giving the wrong information. So the following command is not executing properly
