here I am again. First: it doesn't happen everytime. Today I booted 3
times succesfully with X and one time in textual mode. I checked all tty
and no tty were graphical. tty8 was empty and in tty7 I found just a
warning like this:

Launching firefox with ssh runs the local firefox instead of the remote
one. The command:
ssh -X remotepc firefox
doesnt' run firefox on remotepc, but on localhost.
Even if I "ssh -X remotepc gnome-terminal" and then, in the terminal, I

I tested it in lucid, something got better, but not all.
- The bug is still present if I set the percentage font size to 100%
- The bug has been fixed for percentage font size other than 100%

Also, I would like to add that the fallback mode it's a mess, and it
isn't showed properly. So, the only way to fix it is falling back to
textual shell with ctrl alt F1 and logging in again.

Hi Didier, sorry for the delayed answer, I was travelling past days.
I just update the ISO image and the problem seems fixed.
The image MD5 where the problem is fixed is the following:

Testing Lucid Alpha 3 on Netbook Edition Live using 2D Launcher.
The very strange thing is that the same pc with Alpha 3 Desktop works
with no problems. The problem Affect only Netbook Edition.

if rhythmbox is reproducing music, it stops the screen switching off
timeout.
I think it should behave this way only when rhythmbox isn't minimized,
but not when minimized or minimized to tray.

I would like to add a feedback about the buttons on the left.
Everytime I look for close button on right and I have to force myself to
find it in left position I feel an anti-instinctive feeling that make me

Move to another distribution if you don't like Mark/Canonnical's philosophy
GNU/Linux world is big enough to find the distribution that fit your needs.
