yup, thats it! exactly what i have, a "sheet". If i can figure any way around
this ill post it here. I hope there is a fix for this soon, it is REALLY
annoying.

I did an upgrade from feisty. The other baffling thing is that if i go
into the settings file (cant remember the name of the file off hand) and
manually specify 4 desktops,... still only two appear. I dont know where
to go from here.

i know there a a few few bugs already reported about this, but they are
all reported in the beta or alpha releases and say the official release
has been fixed. i just upgraded from feisty with compiz fusion and
cannot get any more than two workspaces when running compiz fusion
ok, well i just upgraded to the official release of gutsy and have the
same problem. compiz fusion is installed and i can only have 2
workspaces when running. apparently this was not yet fixed. how can i

Did anyone come up with a solution for this yet? I just upgraded from
feisty to the official release of gutsy and am having the same exact
problem. I opened a new bug because It seems as though this one may have
been for a beta release. Either way, the problem is probably the same.

ok,
just for the record, i downloaded from a different mirror and it worked.
there was definitely something wrong with the download from that mirror.
