I can confirm the bug. I use a 2.6.24-16 generic kernel (SMP) on a Pentium IV 3.6ghz laptop. With the 2.6.24-16-generic kernel my cpu runs at 57 degrees Celsius With the older 2.6.22-16-generic kernel my cpu runs at 43 degrees Celsius (temperatures taken right after boot) The load does not justi
